On June 24th, HBO debuted a new series by Aaron Sorkin. Not only was Clear-Com used for the production of the show, but it's actually used on the set! Tune in to HBO's new series, The Newsroom, and keep an eye out for Clear-Com gear!

Application Notes: Aircraft Project

APPLICATION: Individuals in the main venue needed to communicate with those inside a large aircraft and those inside the lab, where people are performing tests.

PRODUCT MUST:  The testing and evaluation team wanted intercom systems that would allow for remote connectivity on the ground and air.

SOLUTION: Clear-Com’s Eclipse digital matrix and intercom-over-IP solutions, Concert and VoICE 2.0, were utilized to interconnect all the different areas including the aircraft which had an IP connection via satellite.

The King Biscuit is Born (Podcast)

In this podcast, Charlie Butten shares about how the King Biscuit came into being and how it was first used at our Clear-Com facility.

It all started with Bob Cohen telling Charlie, "I've got a surprise for you." He pulled out a speaker station and showed it to Charlie. Bob continued, "I call it the King Biscuit." He even had the station labeled King Biscuit 100. It was around that time that Charlie discovered the principle of anti-sidetone as well.

During that period when Clear-Com was still at 759 Harrison St. in San Francisco, the King Biscuit 100 was set up on a wall on the first floor of the facility. When people came through the building, our staff would ask who was there and talk to them before they came up the stairs.

Clear-Com’s China Partner Meeting

Clear-Com just had our first China Partner Meeting! Over twenty key distributors from all across the country met with our Clear-Com team in China from May 28th-June 1st to receive product training, hear company updates and discuss future opportunities.  We were able to share our successful experiences in various markets and support our Partners with resources and relevant information. How'd You Do on that Test and Evaluation?

Vehicles, equipment, personnel and weapons are continuously tested and evaluated under rigorous conditions and in demanding environments to ensure that they have the best capabilities to meet pivotal mission needs for the military, aerospace and government. Here's a sample showing how intercoms are used during test and evaluation:
APPLICATION: Three individuals in the control room must direct three staff members in the mezzanine on certain test and evaluation operations.

The Portland Opera produces opera that will knock your socks off. Murder, mayhem, and madness make for a great night out! Clear-Com is helping the Portland Opera’s busy staff streamline its production workflow across its multi-venue facility. Crew members use Clear-Com’s CellCom® at its three performance venues, the 2,992-seat Keller Auditorium, the 880-seat Newmark Theatre and the 178-seat Studio Theatre at the company’s headquarters.

Did you know AccuWeather created a unified value known as "The AccuWeather Exclusive RealFeel Temperature." The formula for calculating this value incorporates the effects of temperature, wind, humidity, sunshine intensity, cloudiness, precipitation and elevation on the human body. AccuWeather is using Clear-Com's Eclipse and CellCom for communication during its operations.
